Crumbs tell stories. I have always loved eating them, they are full of flavour, they are the remains of something bigger, of the meal just eaten, of a moment lived, of the emotions enclosed within.
Crumbs help me to remember.
What if the details could talk?
Briciole is the translation of a long and painful relationship between the artist and her body. On stage a young woman is confronted with her pain and her story stuck in an area of her body: her belly, her crumb.
Through the movement she intends to investigate the immobility, and tell of the infirmity.
How can physical limitation become the engine of movement?
Through voice, song, text and dance, the artist explores this internal dialogue, restores voice to the organs and recounts fragments of her past.
Briciole was presented in May 2023 at the Teatri di Vita in Bologna (It), in September and November in Area Espai de Dansa y creació in Barcelona (Es).
